Static sun, lucid movement (2017)

Static sun, lucid movement is a site specific work using video and a semitransparent fiber installed in the space. The video work addresses the physical aspect of light in the space and how it changes the space over a duration. Using time-lapse as a method of capturing a passage of time, the video contrasts the present moment to a specific past, offering a view of the space through two planes of time. The transparent threads rely on natural light to become illuminated and in doing so the light has a sense of tangibility and intends to encourages a physical interaction with work.
