A major solo exhibition of acclaimed Australian printmaker Heather Shimmen's work at Latrobe Regional Gallery, this exhibition featured a suite of extant and new works, showcasing her imaginative vision and meticulous technique. 

 

Shimmen’s work blends reality and fantasy, weaving together imagery of mythology, history and the natural world. Figures of women, flora and fauna metamorphose into hybrid forms. 

 

As part of the public program, Shimmen facilitated a masterclass organised in partnership with ARC Yinnar (Artist Resource Collective) print studio, and an artist talk with the exhibition curator, Gabriella Duffy.
